When we set out to design the BCP X500R Turbocharger, we wanted to completely reshape the power potential of a true stock-location and most importantly stock inlet size turbo charger. Not only were we impressed by our testing results, we were shocked with how this turbo SET THE RECORD for stock inlet size horsepower. Between the spool time and power potential, you really can’t beat this turbo!
The BCP X500R Turbocharger will support over 600whp with proper supporting mods. With a stock inlet size, it truly is a bolt-on unit. You can even install this turbo on a stock car if you wish. With unmatched spool time it makes sense to install on even the simplest setups because of the room it has to grow. To maximize the results on higher horsepower setups, we suggest the following mods:
Closed-Deck engine (IAG)
Stock Heads (or mild port)
Stock Cams (they just work best with this compressor)
A GOOD Front Mount Intercooler
A GOOD Equal Length Header
3″ Cold Air Intake or larger
Ethanol Fuel (E85)
To make over 600whp on E85 we suggest ID1700s and dual fuel pumps

We do NOT recommend running any type of oil restrictor with this turbo
The turbo includes everything you need to install including our SureSeal multi-layer gaskets to ensure leak-free operation and brand new downpipe studs. We Strongly suggest running our line kit or another aftermarket feed line kit to ensure adequate oiling to the turbocharger.
Our optional line kit offers stainless braided high pressure AN lines and AN fittings to ensure proper flow volume and leak-free operation.
Please note, this turbo is only available in the STI-Style compressor housing. You will need to clearance your air pump hard line on 08-14 WRX to address a minor clearance issue on the compressor cover. This turbo can be installed on 08-14 WRXs running Top Mount Intercoolers with a proper adapter hose.
What do most people want from a turbo? They want the fastest spool, but don’t want to sacrifice top end power. The BCP X500R turbocharger offers both, on an almost unbelievable level. 600whp was unheard of before without a 3″ compressor cover. Chances are a friend or fellow enthusiast you know has one of our BCP X500+ turbochargers that has been a staple in the Subaru community for over 5 years. Using the stock inlet means easy install, and no added cost of larger inlets (or fighting to install it)! This turbo is compatible will all aftermarket 5 bolt USDM downpipes and even the stock downpipe. Remember, we suggest using our line kit to ensure proper oiling.

BCP Turbos are in a class of their own in terms of performance and reliability. We are confident enough in our turbochargers that we offer a 1 year, Unlimited mileage warranty on ALL of our shelf turbochargers. Our warranty does not apply to our custom built/ motorsport turbochargers.

Fantastic turbo, I’ve been a huge fan of all the BCP turbos ever since I bought the BCPx500+ and made great power with awesome spool. I’m constantly asked about turbo choices and always recommend the BCP line of turbos. They just make sense for 99% of people’s goals in my experience. Hands down best stock location bang for buck for the street! After 9k miles, I’m still not bored of this turbo on my daily driven 2016 sti. The power comes on hard, early, and even breaks the tires loose near the top of 3rd from time to time! The sounds it makes paired with an ewg is like a combination of Fergie and Jesus! My LS and MOPAR friend ride along reactions made this purchase worth every penny.
